Gert van Valkenhoef
I am a PhD student in Medical Research Informatics at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen and the Department of Epidemiology, University Medical Center Groningen.
The project is documented on drugis.org.
In addition to my research, I manage an Agile team that develops the ADDIS decision support system.
I have a BSc and MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Groningen (with honor). The MSc partly consisted of courses in theoretical computer science from the University of Amsterdam and the thesis was done at the University of Southampton. I have several years of part-time experience as a professional web developer and have been a teaching assistant for various courses. I attended a number of international conferences to present my work.
Besides that, I like to engage in typical nerd activities, as well as
cooking, enjoying a beer with friends and going out (or staying in) with my
girlfriend. Check out my flickr photostream.
